About us
The independent hotel in Leeds
We’ve been welcoming guests since 1937. Head through our art deco doors and you’ll be following in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela, Princess Grace of Monaco, Cary Grant and Laurel and Hardy.
The hotel
A welcome breath of fresh air
Situated in the beating heart of Leeds, guests choose The Queens Hotel for our independent spirit, heartfelt service and incredible transport connections – complete with our own private entrance to Leeds Train station.
History
The centrepiece of Leeds
Originally built as a flagship hotel for Leeds railway station, The Queens has history and heritage around every corner – from the original art deco features to the fossils in our iconic white Portland stone façade.
Transformation
Original features, modern luxuries
A £16 million refurbishment allowed us to give our rooms a contemporary makeover – and add 17 new ones. Fear not, we’ve still retained our elegant art deco features, like the stunning original windows and lifts.
People
A hearty Leeds welcome
