Get ready to celebrate diversity and inclusion at this year's Leeds Pride Parade & Festival on Sunday July 21st. Kicking off at 12pm from Leeds Town Hall, the parade will wind through the vibrant streets of Leeds, promising an unforgettable experience.
🎤 Headlining the main stage is none other than world-class DJ and Brit Award-winning artist Sonique, famous for her platinum-selling single “It Feels So Good.” Joining her will be X-Factor winner Louisa Johnson, known for her collaborations with Clean Bandit, and a host of fierce Yorkshire drag acts. The entertainment doesn't stop there, with 90s dance legends Baby D and Alex Party, a Madonna tribute act, and DJ sets from Defected Records’ Monki and Joel Mignott.
🎊 The celebration extends beyond the main event, with a week-long calendar ensuring everyone can join in the fun. Call Lane will be one of the new exciting additions this year, giving more space and venues to explore within the festival! Local businesses are also getting involved, such as Everyman Cinema, which will be screening the feel-good British classic Pride on July 18th.
👪 For those looking for a family-friendly, accessible space during the day, the Leeds Pride Village Fete will take place at City Square, right outside The Queens. Organised by Angels of Freedom, the fete offers a range of activities from LGBTQ+ crafters and traders, community groups, and free-to-play games. Whether you're making your way to the Millennium Square celebrations, taking a break from the parade, or seeking a quieter spot during the Lower Briggate party, the Village Fete is the perfect place to be.
